If you are running System 7 or later, there is a folder called “Startup Items” inside of your “System Folder”. Anything in there gets launched every time your Macintosh starts up. Haven’t you ever wished you could have something launch the FIRST time you turn on your Mac each day, but not EVERY time? Enter OncePerDay. Put OncePerDay (or an alias to it) inside of your “Startup Items” folder. Next, create a folder inside of your “Preferences” folder called “OncePerDay”. (Sorry, at this time the name or location of the folder can not be changed.) Now, place aliases inside of the “OncePerDay” folder. Those aliases will be opened the FIRST time you boot your Macintosh each day, but not EVERY time you restart.
Limitations
• The name and location of the “OncePerDay” folder can not be changed. It must be called “OncePerDay”, and it must be inside of the “Preferences” folder.
After Registering:
After registering OncePerDay, you will receive a registration code which will prevent the registration dialog from being displayed every time the application is launched.

Revision History:
1.0.1 (12/4/96)
• The last time the application was launched is now stored in a preferences file instead of inside the application itself
